My new haircut

I just had 7 inches taken off yesterday and love it! Add that to the 4-5 inches I just cut off a few months ago and I've cut off about 12 inches off since Aidan was born. I'm still working with how to style it now, but no more pony tails!!!

I've lost 35 lbs since delivery

I need to loose 19 more lbs to reach my pre-PG weight. Since we moved, I restarted my Atkins type diet and lost 5 lbs in the last 2 wks by doing that. We are going to visit my husbands family in Minnesota for Thanksgiving and I'm hoping to drop the rest by then. It motivates me to stick w/it when I can see results.

On another note, I've decided to chop my hair off! Those that have met me, know I have really long hair (down to the middle of my back) and I'm going to cut it to about chin level on Tues! Eeek! I'm excited! And I think it will be easier to manage and get ready w/Aidan. My hair is so thick and takes forever to dry, so this will shorten my process. And maybe I won't look like a teenage mom; I'm 31 but look about 12 on most days. :) The pic in this post is the haircut I'm after.

Aidan is 5 months old today!

He is such a good little boy. Always happy and so easy to take care of. He does have his moments, but they are very far and few between. He doesn't like to be in his cars seat/stroller for too long. He'd rather one of us hold him. I think he feels too confined. He has had solid food a few times; bananas from Gerber Organics. He loves to play and laugh and still thinks the dogs are pretty cool.

We went to dinner tonight and he was awake when we got back. I changed his diaper and put him in his crib and turned on his aquarium and he went to sleep. How easy is that? Can't ask for anything better!

We are in our new home!

We closed June 29th and have been moving in ever since. We have all the big stuff done, but still have a lot left to do to get our place ready for visitors. Aidan is such a sweet boy and is so much fun at this age. Every now and then, he gives us belly laughs and we love it! On the 4th of July, I read him a book w/a squeaky ball attached to it and he laughed everytime the ball squeaked! I've put a link to a video of it in this post. Pay no attention to my appearance, between moving and being a mommy of an infant, I don't do make up and hair very often these days; but I do bathe and Aidan's happy, so that's all that matters!

Moving = Exhausted

We are in our new house now, but we are both so very tired. We are still unpacking and have already submitted a few warranty items with the builder. Aidan is teething so he's having a tough time sleeping thru the night when the Tylenol wears off. I can see two little teeth coming in on the bottom. He's been a good little trooper w/all the moving. He's lived in 3 houses and he's only 4mos old! His room is the only one in the house that is finished and put together. (except for hanging his name on the wall since that requires two people) Our bedroom is almost together, just a few things to put away.

The dogs have the hang of the doggie door now. It took them the first day to get used to it and Lola was scared of it at first, but now they both go in and out when they want and it frees us up from having to open the door for them all the time.

Have to get back to work on the house but wanted to write a quick post!
