I also got to meet a very dear on-line friend I've known for 4yrs. She lives in San Diego so we arranged to meet for lunch when we got into town. She is one of my infertility sisters and we've been through a lot in the last 4yrs on our journey to parenthood. It was nice to finally meet her in person.
We just got back late last night and I'm still catching up on email and mail. Aidan's crib was part of a large recall, so we had to go and buy a new crib for him today. This is the THIRD one we've had to buy. The movers lost the parts for the 1st one, so we had to go buy another one; and now the recall makes 3. I know he's close to switching over to a toddler bed, but he's not ready just yet.
I had my 20wk OB appt today at Dr S's. It was just a nurse visit today; no ultra sound, but we did listen to her heartbeat; 150bpm. Hard to believe I'm already halfway through this pregnancy already. This time seems to be going by faster than when I was carrying Aidan. I'm feeling her move every day, which is very comforting. I have been having contractions (Braxton Hicks) for the last week or two, which isn't supposed to be happening this early, so the nurse said it's probably the heat and to stay hydrated and lay on my left side and stay indoors where it's cool. Now, if someone could please explain this to my 16mo old son who loves to be outside where it's 100 degrees.
I'll leave you with a few pics from our trip.....
